We were processed very quickly and were soon in our cabins. The ship had been empty the week before as it had had 2-3 weeks for an unscheduled out-of-service stop as one of the propulsion pods wasn’t working properly. All was well for us, thank goodness! We were well greeted as we embarked. We were ‘Gold’ members – apparently as we had been once with P&O and everyone who knew said “Welcome back”! We were even thanked for sanitising our hands as we went to the Horizon Court cafeteria on the top deck! And who should be moored up next to us in San Juan harbour but the ‘Adventure of the Seas’ – our ship from last October and for next October/November.
